Assuming somebody does nothing it might take a couple of years to generate resistance to HPV virus. If one takes the author's suggestions, it requires just a few months to establish resistance to HPV virus. The longer a person is infected with human papilloma virus, the longer it might cause damage. So it is preferred to generate resistance so as to get rid of HPV when possible.
